1. Who we are
Falaj Tech supplies and installs gate automation and access control equipment in Oman. Our shop is at Shop No 176, Way Street No 57, Block No 17/2, Al Khuwair, Muscat, Oman, and this policy covers the website at falajtech.com.
If you have a question about anything here, email contact@falajtech.com or call +968 75219236.
2. What we collect
Only what we need to answer you or get a product to your door.
When you place an order
- Your name
- Your delivery address
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- What you ordered, and any note you added to the order
When you message or call us
- Your phone number, and your name if you give it
- Whatever you tell us about your gate, including photographs you send
Automatically, when you visit the site
- Your IP address, browser and device type
- Which pages you looked at and how you arrived
3. What we never collect
We do not take payment on this website. There is no card gateway, no payment processor and no card form anywhere on falajtech.com.
Every order is settled in cash on delivery, or by an arrangement agreed with you directly. That means we never hold your card number, your CVV, your bank details or anything similar, because we never ask for them and there is nowhere on the site to enter them.
If a page ever asks you for card details while claiming to be Falaj Tech, it is not us. Close it and call the shop on +968 75219236.
We also do not collect your national ID or passport number, your date of birth, or any information about your health, religion, politics or family.
4. Why we collect it
- To fulfil your order. We cannot deliver a gate motor without an address, and we cannot confirm the order without a phone number.
- To answer your question. If you send us a photograph of a gate, we keep it long enough to specify or diagnose it.
- To arrange installation or a repair visit. Our engineer needs to know where to go and what to bring.
- To honour a warranty. We keep a record of what we sold you and when, so you do not have to prove it later.
- To keep the site working. Anonymous usage figures tell us which pages are slow or broken.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it or hand it to advertisers.
5. WhatsApp and phone
Most of our customers reach us on WhatsApp, and the buttons across this site open a message to our number. When you use one of them, the conversation happens inside WhatsApp and is subject to WhatsApp's own privacy terms as well as ours.
What we do with it is simple. We read your message, we answer it, and we keep the thread so that if you contact us again about the same gate we already know the history. We do not add your number to a marketing list and we do not send you broadcast messages.
Ask us to delete a conversation and we will.
6. Cookies
A cookie is a small file the site puts on your device so it can remember something between pages.
- Necessary cookies keep your shopping cart from emptying when you move between pages, and keep you signed in if you have an account. The site cannot work without these.
- Analytics cookies tell us, anonymously, how many people visited and which pages they used. We use these to fix problems, not to identify you.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the necessary ones the cart will stop working, which is a limitation of how carts work rather than a choice we made.
7. Who we share it with
A short list, and every one of them is because the job cannot be done otherwise.
- Our delivery partners, who receive your name, address and phone number so the parcel arrives.
- Our website host, which stores the site and its database.
- A manufacturer, if a warranty claim requires the serial number and the fault to be reported to them.
- The authorities in Oman, if we are required by law to provide something.
That is the whole list. Nobody else receives your information from us.
8. How long we keep it
- Order and invoice records for as long as accounting and tax rules in Oman require.
- Installation and warranty records for the life of the warranty plus a reasonable period afterwards, so we can help you if the same gate needs attention.
- Enquiries that did not lead to an order for around two years, then deleted.
- Website analytics in aggregate, with no way to trace it back to a person.
9. Your rights
Oman's Personal Data Protection Law gives you rights over information a business holds about you. You may ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you
- Give you a copy of it
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete it, where we are not required to keep it for tax or warranty reasons
- Stop using it for anything beyond completing your order
Email contact@falajtech.com and we will respond within thirty days. There is no charge, and we will not ask you why.
10. Security
The site runs over an encrypted connection, so anything you send it travels privately. Access to order records is limited to the people who need it to do their job. We keep the site and its software updated.
No website can promise perfect security, and any business that tells you otherwise is overselling. What we can tell you honestly is that the most valuable thing a criminal could steal from an online shop, your card details, is not here to be stolen, because we never collect it.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, and you are a customer, we will tell you directly rather than expect you to notice.
