Falaj Tech in Oman, supplied and installed

Most of what we stock carries a manufacturer’s name. BFT, CAME, Nice, Roger, Sommer and the rest have been building gate automation for decades and their badge means something.

A few things do not, and this is where they live.

Why some products carry our name and not a manufacturer’s

There are two honest reasons a product ends up under the Falaj Tech name rather than someone else’s.

It is made to your measurements. A sectional garage door is not a product off a shelf. The panels are cut to your opening, the tracks are sized to your headroom and the spring is calculated to the finished door weight. No manufacturer badges that, because until we measure your garage it does not exist yet.

Or the factory does not put a name on it. A great deal of access control hardware is built by manufacturers who sell to whoever orders it, with no brand printed anywhere. Plenty of sellers invent one and hope you do not notice. We would rather tell you plainly that it is an unbranded unit we selected, tested and stand behind.

What our name on a product actually means

It is not a claim that we built it. We do not manufacture anything, and saying otherwise would be dishonest.

It means we chose it, we hold it in stock in Al Khuwair, our own engineers fit it, and when something goes wrong you come to us rather than chasing a factory in another country. On an unbranded product that is worth more than a badge, because there is no manufacturer network to fall back on.

It also means we tell you what we do not know. Where a specification comes from our supplier rather than a published datasheet, our product pages say so.

Falaj Tech sectional garage doors

Insulated sectional garage doors, made to your opening, in 40 mm double skinned steel panels with a polyurethane core. Before anything else, measure the gap above your opening. A standard track needs 305 mm and around 355 mm once a motor is fitted, and Omani villa construction often runs a concrete beam straight across the top of the garage opening.

See the sectional garage door, from OMR 420.000. The motor that opens it is a separate purchase, and those do carry manufacturer names, see garage door openers.

Falaj Tech access control

Standalone card and PIN readers for doors, gates and staff entrances. Up to 2000 users, opening by card, by code, or by both together for restricted areas.

Two things decide whether one suits you, and both are on the product page rather than buried. Whether the reader is going outdoors, because only the waterproof version survives it, and whether your existing cards run at 125 kHz or 13.56 MHz, because the wrong version will not read a single one of them.

See the standalone RFID access control reader at OMR 28.280, or the wider access control systems range.

Buying from us in Oman

We hold stock at Shop No 176, Way Street No 57, Block No 17/2, Al Khuwair, Muscat. You are welcome to come and see anything before you buy it, which matters more on an unbranded product than on a Nice or a BFT.

We do not take payment online. Every order is confirmed by phone or WhatsApp first so we can check it suits your opening or your existing cards, and payment is on delivery. Our engineers install across all eleven governorates. More about us on our about page.

Common questions

Does Falaj Tech manufacture these products?
No. We do not manufacture anything. Our name goes on products that have no manufacturer badge worth printing, either because they are made to your measurements or because the factory brands nothing.

Is an unbranded product lower quality?
Not necessarily, but you are buying on our judgement rather than a manufacturer’s reputation, so we say so plainly and we hold the stock here rather than shipping it in per order.

What happens if something goes wrong?
You come to us. We stock the parts in Al Khuwair and our own engineers fitted it, so there is no factory in another country to chase.

Why not put a brand name on them like other sellers do?
Because it would not be true. If a product has a real manufacturer we name them, and most of what we sell does.
