About ELV Solutions in Oman

ELV stands for extra low voltage. It covers the cabling and signal systems that carry data, video and control, not mains power. Gate automation depends on them more than most people expect. An access control reader, an intercom, a CCTV camera and a remote gate controller all need a clean link back to the building.

Where fiber optics fit in an Oman project

A copper network cable is limited to 100 metres. A villa compound, a farm gate or a warehouse yard is often further than that. Fiber optic cable carries the signal over much longer runs.
