LiftMaster in Oman, supplied and installed

LiftMaster in Oman

LiftMaster is the largest garage door opener brand in the world, built by the Chamberlain Group in the United States. If you have lived in America or Canada, this is the badge that was on the unit in the ceiling.

What we hold

• Garage door openers for sectional and up and over doors, chain and belt drive
• Sliding and swing gate operators
• myQ connectivity modules
• Remote handsets, keypads and photocells

myQ, which is the reason people ask for it

LiftMaster’s app is better than most of what the European brands offer, because Chamberlain has been building it for years rather than bolting it on. You can open the door from your phone, see whether you left it open, and get a notification when it moves.

That last one is more useful than it sounds. A garage door left open by mistake in a Muscat summer turns the garage into an oven and the house behind it into a cooling bill.

American versus European

Worth understanding before you buy. American openers are built around the doors common there, which tend to be lighter sectional doors on a wide opening. If your villa has a heavy insulated sectional door, tell us its weight and we will confirm the model rather than assume.

Voltage is not an issue. We supply units suited to Omani 230 volt supply.

See our garage door openers page for how to identify which type of door you have.
