Choose Standard for a wide entrance that is busy at peak times. Choose Rapid where vehicles queue and the barrier never rests, accepting a shorter arm in exchange for a full duty cycle.
Why hydraulic
A hydraulic operator carries heat away from the mechanism through the oil, so it tolerates a hot cabinet in open tarmac far better than a gearbox does. It also holds the arm firmly in position rather than relying on a brake.
The trade off is servicing. Oil and seals need attention, and a neglected hydraulic barrier loses its holding force. Looked after, it will outlast almost anything else on an entrance like this.

Barrier cabinet, hydraulic drive with balancing spring, control board, mounting accessories and the triangular release key.
Quoted separately, because they depend on your entrance: the boom arm and its type, loop detectors, photocells, warning beacon, foundation and any reader or keypad. We tell you those figures before you order, not afterwards.
Installation in Oman
A FAAC 620 barrier needs a poured foundation, so this is a two visit job. We set the anchor bolts and let the concrete cure before the cabinet goes on it.
On the second visit we mount and level the cabinet, fit and balance the arm against its spring, run the cabling in conduit, set the limits, wire in the loop detectors and photocells, and test the arm against an obstruction before we hand it over.
Common questions
Which arm length can I use
Up to five metres on the Standard and up to 3.8 metres on the Rapid. Measure the clear opening and tell us, because the arm is quoted separately and the type matters as much as the length.
Will it stop in the summer heat
Hydraulic operators cope with heat better than geared ones, and the 620 is rated well above Omani ambient temperatures. What causes barriers to stop here is undersizing, not the machine itself.
Do you install outside Muscat

Can it read vehicles without stopping them
