Check whether your shutter has springs first
The ACM Titanside 600 is built for rolling shutters with no counterbalance springs. It carries the full weight of the shutter curtain itself, rather than assisting a spring that is already doing the lifting.
This matters because most side mounted shutter motors sold locally are assist motors, meant for a shutter where springs already carry the weight. Fitting the wrong type either fights the springs or asks a motor to lift weight it was never built for.
If you are not sure whether your shutter has springs, look at the shaft the shutter rolls onto. A spring balanced shutter usually holds roughly level by hand when released partway. If it drops on its own, there are no springs, and this motor is the correct type.
600 kg or 300 kg depends on the gear ratio
ACM sells the Titanside in more than one gear ratio, and they are rated differently, not just geared differently.
| Ratio | Torque | Speed | Lifting capacity |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1:3 | 412 Nm | 4.6 RPM | 600 kg |
| 1:6, standard | 206 Nm | 9.3 RPM | 300 kg |
This listing is the 1:3 ratio, rated to 600 kg. If your shutter is heavier than 300 kg, confirm the ratio on the unit before fitting, because the two versions are not interchangeable on a heavier shutter.

What is included
- ACM Titanside 600 gearmotor unit
- Mounting bracket for side fitting
- Manual release chain for power failure

Installation
Our engineer confirms your shutter has no counterbalance springs before fitting begins. The gearmotor mounts to the side bracket, connects to the shutter tube, and is set up with a control board and limit switches so the shutter stops correctly at fully open and fully closed.
We install across all eleven governorates from our shop in Al Khuwair.
Common questions
Does my shutter need springs for this motor?
No, and it should not have them. This motor is built to lift the full shutter weight on its own. If your shutter already has springs, ask us before ordering, since a different motor type may suit it better.
Is this rated for 600 kg or 300 kg?
This listing is the 1:3 ratio, rated to 600 kg. ACM also sells a 1:6 ratio rated to 300 kg. Confirm the rating plate matches before fitting a heavy shutter.
Does it include the control board?
No. This listing is the motor unit only. The control board, receiver and photocells are quoted separately once we know your setup.
What is the price?
OMR 105.000 for the motor unit, supply only. Installation is quoted after we see the shutter.
