This release key is compatible with BFT Deimos BT A400 and A600 only. If your motor is an Ares, an AC line Deimos, or an Icaro, this key will not fit your release barrel. Tell us which motor you have before ordering, and we will confirm the right part rather than sell you one that does not fit.
Replacement key, or the full lock and handle
Two different needs bring people to this page, and it is worth knowing which one you actually have before you order.
If you have simply lost your key, a replacement needs to be cut to your motor’s own 3 digit code, engraved on the release barrel at the base of the motor. This is the more common request, and the faster one to fulfil.
If your release mechanism itself is damaged, jammed, or the handle has snapped off, a cut key on its own will not fix anything, since the barrel or handle needs replacing rather than the key that turns it. Tell us which situation you are in, ideally with a photograph, and we will confirm exactly what you are getting before we send it.
What manual release actually does, and why it matters here
Every BFT Deimos BT motor has this release built in, so the gate can be opened by hand during a power cut or while the motor is being serviced. Turning the key disengages the motor’s gearbox from the rack, letting the gate slide freely without fighting the motor’s own drive.
This is not an optional accessory bolted on afterwards, it is the standard release mechanism your motor was built with. Ordering this key is about replacing a lost or damaged one, not adding a feature you were missing.
In Oman specifically, this matters more than the manual suggests. Power cuts are not rare, and a gate that cannot be opened by hand during one is a genuine problem if it is your only vehicle access. Knowing where your release barrel is, and having a working key for it, is worth checking before you actually need it in an emergency rather than during one.
Finding your motor’s key code
Look at the base of your Deimos BT motor for a small barrel, usually near where the manual release lever sits. The 3 digit code is engraved directly onto it. Photograph it clearly and send it to us on WhatsApp. If the numbers have worn away or you cannot find the barrel at all, tell us and we will talk you through locating it, or arrange for our engineer to check it on a visit.

Genuine parts, not compatible copies
We stock the genuine BFT part rather than a generic compatible key. A copied or filed down key can work loosely enough to jam the barrel rather than release it cleanly, which turns a five minute fix into a call out. For something you may need in a genuine emergency, the original part is worth the small extra cost over a guess.
