BFT Kustos BT A25 24V motor and the D-Track system
The Kustos BT A25 runs on 24V and draws 40 W. The control unit is the THALIA, which powers the motors from a 230V board supply. BFT calls its impact reaction D-Track. It follows the gate path and adjusts the force. BFT also fits magnetic limit switches. They have no moving contacts to clog with sand.
BFT Kustos BT A25 cycles per hour and duty
BFT lists up to 30 cycles an hour for the Kustos BT range. BFT also classes the A25 for intensive use. Each time a car leaves and returns, the gate does two cycles. So 30 cycles is about 15 car trips an hour. A busy villa or a small shared gate sits inside that. Heat lowers the real figure, so ask us about a gate in full sun.
BFT Kustos BT A25 in Oman dust and heat
The motor works from minus 20°C to plus 55°C and is rated IP44. IP44 covers splashes and objects over 1 mm, but not fine dust. BFT covers the worm screw completely, which keeps sand and water off the moving parts. Keep the rod clean, and keep the cover on.

Installing a BFT Kustos BT A25 swing gate motor in Oman
Our engineer checks the hinges and the leaf balance first. A leaf that drags will stall the motor, so we fix that first. We fix the brackets level, set the leaf positions and let the THALIA learn the gate path. Then we wire the photocells and measure the impact force. The key release opens each leaf by hand in a power cut. We show you how to use it before we leave.
