The longer reach model, not simply the bigger one
A40 reaches a 4 metre leaf, further than the A25, but is rated to only 400 kg, less than the A25’s 700 kg. If your gate is long but built light, this is the correct choice. If it is short but heavy, the A25 suits it better. Read your actual gate’s weight and length against both models rather than assume the larger number means the stronger motor.
Left or right handed, confirm before ordering

Is the A40 stronger than the A25?
No. It reaches further, 4 metres against 2.5, but is rated to less weight, 400 kg against 700. Choose by whichever figure your gate needs.
Do I need the left or right handed version?
Yes. Tell us your gate’s swing direction or send a photograph, and we will confirm AL or AR before dispatch.
Will it fit a wide pillar?
Yes, this is the articulated arm’s main advantage over a straight ram motor, it clears wide or awkward pillars a rigid arm cannot reach around.
