The CAME BY-3500T moves sliding gates up to 3500 kg, with 3500 N of thrust at 10.5 metres a minute. It is an industrial machine for factory yards, logistics compounds, ports and warehouses, not a villa operator.
It needs a three phase supply
Read this before you order. The BY-3500T runs on three phase power, in either a 400 V or a 230 V configuration. It will not run on the single phase supply a villa or a small shop has.
If your site has three phase, this is straightforward. If it does not, bringing three phase to the gate is a separate job with the utility and it costs considerably more than the motor. We check this at the survey, before you commit to anything, because it is the one thing that turns a good purchase into an expensive mistake.

Module 6 rack
This operator drives module 6 rack, which is heavier than the module 4 used on domestic gates. If you are replacing a smaller motor on an existing gate, the old rack almost certainly will not fit and the new rack is quoted separately.
Rack alignment matters more on a gate this size than on any villa gate. Over 17 metres, a rack that rises or falls along the run makes a 3500 kg leaf fight the pinion at one end. We check it along the full length before we commission.
Installation
The unit weighs around 74 kg and sits on a poured foundation with anchor bolts, so this is a two visit job. First visit sets the base and lets the concrete cure. Second visit mounts and levels the operator, fits and aligns the rack, wires the three phase supply through an isolator, sets the mechanical limits, wires the photocells and safety edges, and tests the obstruction behaviour before handover.
Common questions
Can I run it on single phase
No. It is a three phase machine. If your site is single phase, tell us the gate weight and length and we will specify a single phase alternative instead.
Will it take my existing rack
Only if that rack is module 6. Most gates coming off a smaller motor are module 4 and will need replacing.
Do you install outside Muscat
Yes, across every governorate. Industrial sites in Sohar, Duqm and Salalah are normal work for us, and travel is agreed in the quotation before we set off.
