DEA Livi 803N is an 800 kg motor, not a 900 kg motor
The kit code 615702 is the DEA Livi 803N. DEA’s catalogue rates it at 800 kg. The 900 kg model is the Livi 9N, code 615700, which is a different motor with a different control board.

Each time a car leaves and returns, the gate does two cycles. So 40 cycles is about 20 car trips a day. A large villa gate sits inside that. A shared compound or a staff yard does not. The motor moves the gate at 10 metres a minute. A 5 metre gate takes about 30 seconds to open.
Safety devices on the DEA Livi 803N
The 212E board is analog. DEA lists force adjustment, working time learning and an input for external safety devices. It lists no encoder and no built in obstacle detection. DEA says to meet the EN 12453 impact limits, you must fit external safety devices that meet EN 12978. The kit has photocells. We also quote a sensitive edge for the gate’s leading end. The price is clear before we start.
DEA Livi 803N is rated IPX4, with no dust rating
DEA lists the Livi N range as IPX4. The X means the motor is not rated for dust at all. Oman has plenty of sand, so keep the cover on, the track clear and the rack clean. The motor works from minus 20°C to plus 50°C, and summer sits at the top of that range.

Installing a DEA Livi 803N sliding gate motor in Oman
Our engineer checks the track, wheels and balance. A heavy gate must stay put when stopped halfway. We fix the plate, set the rack 1 to 2 mm clear of the pinion and wire the photocells. Then we set the force and let the board learn the working time. DEA asks for a check of the cover, the screws and the release lever every 6 months.
