Built for intensive use, with a genuine battery backup
This is BFT’s step up from the Deimos range at this weight. It carries an intensive duty cycle rather than Deimos’s semi intensive rating, and it keeps the slowdown function that some of BFT’s mains powered motors go without.
Because it runs on 24V, it takes a backup battery as standard practice, and the gate keeps opening through a power cut. For a shared compound entrance, a commercial gate, or any 1000 kg gate that is the only vehicle access to a property, that combination, real weight capacity plus power resilience plus a smooth stop, is what you are paying the premium over a Deimos for.

Weigh your gate leaf before choosing. A gate carries more weight than it looks like it does once you count the frame and any infill, and Ares is the correct step up once a Deimos genuinely is not enough, not a default upgrade for its own sake.

This motor drives a module 4 rack. Photograph the tooth profile of any rack already fitted to your gate and send it to us before ordering, since a module 6 rack will not mesh with this pinion.

Will it work during a power cut?
Yes, with a backup battery fitted. This is a 24V motor, which is exactly what the low voltage range is built for.
Does the gate slow down before stopping?
Yes. Unlike our 230V AC range, this motor has a slowdown function and eases into each end of travel rather than stopping abruptly.
Will it work with the rack already on my gate?
Only if that rack is module 4. Photograph the teeth and send it to us before ordering to confirm it before you buy.
