The Wingo 4 has a shorter rod, so it suits a shorter leaf. Nice’s chart for the Wingo 4 stops at a 2 metre leaf. The allowed weight falls as the leaf gets longer. For a wider gate, ask us about the Wingo 5. Tell us your leaf length and weight on WhatsApp, and we will check both limits.
Nice Wingo 4 kit cycles per hour and gate speed
Nice rates the Wingo 4 at 230V for 30 cycles an hour at its nominal torque. Each time a car leaves and returns, the gate does two cycles. So 30 cycles is about 15 car trips an hour. The rod moves at 0.016 metres a second, so the full 320 mm travel takes about 20 seconds. A family gate fits well. A busy shared entrance does not, so ask us first.
Nice Wingo 4 kit and the Oman wear index
Nice scores wear in a demand index, and its manual adds points for heat, a blind leaf and wind. A blind leaf adds 15%. A gate in a windy place adds 15%. Nice adds another 20% for the operating temperature. A solid steel gate in a hot, open yard picks up points quickly. Nice estimates a life of 80,000 to 250,000 cycles, and it falls as the index rises.
Nice Wingo 4 kit dust and temperature
The motor works from minus 20°C to plus 50°C and is rated IP44. IP44 covers splashes and objects over 1 mm, but not fine dust. Summer heat sits close to the top of that range. Keep the rod clean of sand, and keep the cover on. Nice asks for a service visit within 6 months.

Installing a Nice Wingo 4 kit swing gate motor in Oman
Our engineer checks the hinges and the leaf balance first. The leaf must stay put when stopped halfway, and it must move freely by hand. We fix the rear bracket by Nice’s chart so the angles match. We fix the front bracket to a solid part of the leaf. Then we set the limit switch, wire the BlueBUS photocells and test the impact force. The key release opens each leaf by hand in a power cut. We show you how to use it before we leave, and we leave you a printed note of the settings.
