The Beninca BULL 5M is an Italian 230V sliding gate motor kit for gates up to 500 kg. Beninca lists it for 30 complete cycles an hour and builds in an obstacle sensor. Both motors share the same speed and the same hourly limit. The 8M adds torque for a heavier gate. Choose the 5M for a light steel or aluminium gate that opens a few times an hour. For a gate near 500 kg, ask us about the 8M.
Beninca BULL 5M cycles per hour and what it means
Beninca rates the BULL 5M for 30 complete open and close cycles an hour. Each time a car leaves and returns, the gate does two cycles. So the hourly limit is about 15 car trips. The datasheet also gives a 30% duty cycle. Beninca publishes no daily limit in the manual. A family villa sits well inside these figures.
Beninca BULL 5M obstacle sensor and safety devices
The BULL 5M has an encoder and an amperometric sensor. Beninca says they detect an obstacle on the gate path. Beninca still says the installation must use safety devices that meet EN 12978 and EN 12453. The kit has photocells. We also check the force at the leading end, and we quote a sensitive edge if the gate needs one.
Beninca BULL 5M spring limit switches and the M version
Beninca fits the standard BULL 5M with spring limit switches. They work with brackets that you set along the rack. The BULL 5M.S version uses magnetic limit switches instead. Ask us which one is in the box, because the limit parts are not the same.
Beninca BULL 5M in Oman heat and dust
The motor works from minus 20°C to plus 50°C and is rated IP44. IP44 covers splashes and objects over 1 mm, but not fine dust. Summer sits at the top of that range, so keep the cover shaded and the track clear of sand. Beninca says the operator is maintenance free. It also asks you to check the safety devices and the release every month.

Installing a Beninca BULL 5M sliding gate motor in Oman
Our engineer checks the track, wheels and balance. The gate needs a mechanical stopper at each end. We cast the foundation plate level, leave 1 mm between the rack and the pinion and set the limit brackets. Then we wire the photocells and set the obstacle sensor. The key release opens the gate by hand in a power cut. Tell us your gate weight and length on WhatsApp first. We will confirm the 5M suits it before you pay, and we will say so if the 8M fits better.
